Ramesh Kumar Nayak is the driving force behind SACAL, bringing over two decades of experience in community development, rural empowerment, and natural resource management. As the founder, he is committed to building a society where marginalized communities, especially Tribal and Dalit communities, have access to equal opportunities and sustainable livelihoods. Under his leadership, SACAL has made significant strides in empowering communities through grassroots initiatives.
Mrs. Sita Devi Patra
Program Manager – Gender Empowerment
With over 15 years of experience in gender advocacy and women’s empowerment, Sita Devi Patra plays a vital role in SACAL’s initiatives aimed at achieving gender equity. Her expertise includes designing programs that focus on education, capacity building, and leadership development for women, especially from marginalized communities. Sita is a passionate advocate for creating equal opportunities for women to actively participate in societal development.

Ashok Chandra Sahu is a dedicated professional with a passion for tribal welfare and rural development. His work focuses on building strong community-based organizations that can lead sustainable development initiatives. Ashok ensures that SACAL’s programs are inclusive, empowering, and people-centered. He brings an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by Tribal and Dalit communities and works to help them find sustainable solutions.

Head of Natural Resource Management
Geeta Kumari brings a wealth of knowledge in environmental science and natural resource management. She leads SACAL’s programs related to the sustainable use of natural resources, helping communities balance development with environmental conservation. Geeta is committed to ensuring that every SACAL project supports both the people and the environment, fostering a harmonious relationship between the two.

Finance & Administration Manager
Pradeep Kumar Das is responsible for overseeing the financial management and administrative functions of SACAL. With over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Pradeep ensures that SACAL operates with financial transparency and efficiency. His careful management of resources helps SACAL maximize its impact while maintaining accountability to its donors and beneficiaries.

Field Officer
Anjali Rani Sahu works directly with marginalized communities in rural Odisha. She is involved in the day-to-day execution of SACAL’s grassroots projects, ensuring that our initiatives reach those who need them most. Anjali’s work is focused on capacity building, livelihood promotion, and ensuring that tribal and women-led organizations are supported and empowered to sustain their own growth.
