At SACAL, we envision an amicable, democratic, and compassionate society, where every individual enjoys freedom, dignity, and equal rights. We strive for a world where natural resources are used sustainably, empowering the weaker sections of society, including Tribal, Women, and Dalit communities, to achieve better livelihoods and a life of dignity.
Our goal is to build a society that ensures gender equity, inclusive growth, and self-reliance for the marginalized. Through community-based organizations and people-centered democratic processes, SACAL empowers communities to take control of their own development.
SACAL is committed to empowering marginalized groups—particularly Tribal, Dalit, and Women communities—by:

Strengthening community-based organizations to enable sustainable,
grassroots-level development.

Promoting sustainable use of natural resources for the benefit of all, with a special focus on vulnerable communities.

Creating a society where men and women have equal opportunities to thrive, ensuring gender equity in every aspect of life.

Implementing meaningful livelihood initiatives that empower communities to be self-sufficient, ensuring long-term prosperity.

Social Action For Community Alternative Learning (SACAL) was founded with the vision of addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities in Ganjam District, Odisha. We are committed to fostering a sense of unity and empowerment among the Tribal, Dalit, and Women communities by facilitating sustainable and inclusive development.
We believe in the democratic participation of every individual, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to voice their needs, contribute to their community, and participate in the decision-making processes that impact their lives. Through education, skill development, and natural resource management, SACAL promotes a sustainable way of living that aligns with the values of social justice, equality, and dignity.

At SACAL, we believe that everyone has a role to play in building a better, more equitable world. Whether you are a volunteer, donor, or partner, your involvement can make a difference.
